"Jagannath Ratha Yatra" was held in Nellore for the first time on 21st January 2012. The program was attended by the MLA of Nellore, Anam Vivekananda Reddy, and prominent people of the city, Tummala Subba Reddy of Neelima Towers, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy Contractor, Srimati Emmai Deepa Venkat of Swarna Bharath Trust, M Radha Krishna of Venkata Ramana Arcade, C.V.R. Foundation at Krishnapatnam, Gunapati Murali Krishna Reddy Contractor, Devarapalli Venku Reddy of Iswarya Sarees, K S Reddy of Iswarya Arts, Chinni Chenchu Rathnam of Chinni Krishna Paradise, Kondreddy Pattabhirami Reddy of ISKCON City, Dr Valluri Shanti Hyderabad, Pothuguntha Tirupalunaidu ISKCON Nellore, Patibandla Venkateshwara Rao Tirupati.

The proccesion started at AC Statue, and proceed along the Trunk Road past Gandhi Statue and the RTC Bus Stand to TTD Kalyana Mandapam, with huge crowds the whole way. A stage program with pravachan by HH Bhanu Swami Maharaj, kirtan, Maha Deep Arati participated by the public followed by Jagannath Prasadam for all.
